Since 2015 Indigofera has collaborated with the artist Bjrn Atldax in the project that goes by the name 'The Skull Blankets'. The idea was to make 10 different wool blankets with the skull theme as a starting point.
Over the years we have been proud to represent this project and we have seen many outstanding designs which we are now exited to seeonce again! Tocelebrate this long project, Indigofera and Bjrn present all 10 blankets in completely new colorways.
These blankets will be limited to a total number of 60 of each design and all blankets are numbered.
The blanket comes with a unique print with the same design and everything is nicely packaged in a specially made postman bag.
Dia De Muertos is the name of a Mexican Aztec/Catholic hybrid holiday on the 2nd of November. Indigenous traditions to honor and remember the dead fuses with Catholic practices & notions of an afterlife. Skulls represent dead loved ones, Monarch butteries are the souls of the departed and Marigolds stand for a doorway to the dead. These are all symbols often used on this day.
